Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

TaVaTake Designs, Stockholm, Sweden, is the data controller for this website. Questions about privacy: hello@tavatake.africa.

What we collect and why

Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we receive your name, email address, organisation (optional), the kind of project you are interested in and your message. We use these details only to reply to you and, if we work together, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Spam protection. To stop automated spam, the form briefly keeps a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to 15 minutes to limit the number of messages sent in a short time.

Email. If you email us directly, we receive the information you choose to send.

Server logs. Like every website, our web host automatically processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and secure the site.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to font services when you visit. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site.

Links to Instagram and LinkedIn take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

Enquiries stored on the website are deleted automatically after 12 months. Correspondence that leads to a project is kept for as long as needed for that project and to meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping.

Who can see it

Only the studio. Our website host and email provider process data on our behalf to run the service. We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@tavatake.africa and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
